This weekend heralds the beginning of the Champions of the Future Academy at the Cremona circuit in Italy.

At the heart of the Academy lies a commitment to nurturing young talent, providing a platform for drivers to hone their skills and showcase their potential. Among the contingent of racers set to compete, a cohort of Australian drivers will be in action to showcase their talent on the world stage.

The Academy features three primary categories: the 60 Mini Class, OK-J Junior Class, and OK-N Senior Class. In each category, competitors will vie for victory using identical equipment, leveling the playing field and placing the emphasis squarely on skill and strategy. The 60 Mini Class sees drivers piloting Parolin chassis powered by TM engines, while the OK-N Senior and Junior classes utilise Kart Republic chassis paired with IAME engines.

In each of the Classes, Australia boasts several promising talents.

New South Wales brothers Oscar and Koda Singh, Oskar Hennock and Hudson Petta will be flying the Australian flag in 60 Mini as will James Anagnostiadis in OK-N Junior while in OK-N Senior, the Australian presence is equally formidable. Reigning Australian KA3 Junior Champion Pip Casabene leads the charge alongside Charlotte Page, a member of the F1 Academy, Isaac Demellweek, Romeo Nasr and Loclan Hennock. Each driver brings a unique blend of talent and determination, poised to make their presence felt on the international stage.

With identical equipment levelling the playing field, the focus shifts squarely to the skill of the drivers.

Practice for the event will be contested across Thursday and Friday ahead of qualifying, heats and a final on both Saturday and Sunday.  For more information on the event visit https://www.championskartingacademy.com
