Fothergill to join Rising Stars at AMSF Camp

To assist with his preparation for the upcoming Asia Pacific KF2 Championship at Suzuka in Japan, Cian Fothergill will be a part of the Australian Motor Sport Federation’s (AMSF) fitness camp later this week.

The three-day camp, headed by leading fitness trainers Phil Young and Glenn Lindsey – who have both worked in Formula One and now with leading V8 Supercar teams, will see Fothergill put through his paces with the focus on improving individual physical performance.

The opportunity for Fothergill is something that International Karting Council Chairman Craig Denton and CIK Stars of Karting Series co-ordinator Peter Galvin hope is the start of a long relationship between the Australia’s elite karting series and the AMSF.

“This is just the start of what we hope to be a long partnership with the AMSF and karting in particular through the Stars of Karting Series,” said Galvin.

“We hope to announce very soon the AMSF taking an even bigger role in the support of young karting talent and their quest to achieve their goals in motorsport across the world.”

Fothergill will head to the Gold Coast on Friday to join with the CAMS Rising Stars and Rookie Rising Stars for the camp to be based at the elite Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre.
