REVISED SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY AND NEW POLICIES IMPLEMENTED

The Karting Australia Board has ratified a number of new policies.

The new policies are listed below:

A revised Social Media Policy has also been ratified and is now in effect.

It is much more comprehensive than the previous policy and for very good reason. The great many benefits from the positive use of all forms of social media are in grave danger of being overshadowed by the irresponsible use of Social media by too many in our sport.

All sports (and community organisations) across the world are finding the same thing. The easy access to a very public forum, often in the heat of the moment, leads to bad things being said that often offend other people in the sport.

This revised policy makes it absolutely clear that the irresponsible and offensive use of all forms of Social Media will no longer be tolerated.
