HE’S a certified champion on the speedway but inspirational youngster Jake Baines has smashed the accelerator on a whole different circuit — the fight against breast cancer.
Jake, 15, is at the pointy end of a 12-month mission aimed at raising $1000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the McGrath Foundation.
And the NSW Speedway Kart Club members’ efforts haven’t gone unnoticed, with Glenn McGrath visiting their home base at the Nepean Motorsports Complex in Agnes Banks on Sunday to show his appreciation and enjoy a taste of Jake’s universe.
