“It was a fantastic result for both young Wimmera kart members Brayden Souter and Alex Baker in a large field of rookies.
“Brayden finished second after a hard fought weekend along with Baker finishing fourth in his first race meeting after moving from cadets.
“Newcomers to cadets Corey Marshall and Trent Sanders took their friendship from schoolyard to the track, putting in a great effort for the weekend.
“Leon Forrest and Mark Cottrell dominated clubman over 40 at their local track taking out first and third and Jake Heard’s new chassis found him up towards the front in clubmen heavy.
“Ashley Lear had a hard fought battle fighting his way through the field in clubman light after poor grid positions to finish seventh.”
