Tyler Greenbury shifts gear to Intrepid - from Intrepid Australia

Intrepid secures Young Guns for 2011 Race Campaign

In a year that will be hotly contested by more chassis brands than ever before, Intrepid Australia announces team drivers and plans for a scorching year by securing an impressive list of drivers.

Kicking off the year at Pro Tour 1 Todd Road will be the debut of high-profile recruit Tyler Greenbury who will sensationally shift to driving for Intrepid after a long involvement with Tony Kart. Tyler joins the Intrepid ranks in Rotax Light and KZ2 after a 2010 drive in the KZ2 class of CIK Stars of Karting, supported by Brian Hicks of Bolt Pro Racing.

Greenbury will join an extensive list of young guns including Josh De Maio (VIC), Lachlan O’Reilly (NSW), Zane Goddard (QLD) and brothers Trent and Lane Moore (QLD) who will all hit the track racing for Intrepid Australia after securing sponsored drives for 2011.

With a year of major events ahead the Intrepid drivers will wage their race campaigns around the country contesting Pro Tour, CIK Stars of Karting and state and national championships.

De Maio will continue his relationship with Intrepid from 2010 as will Queensland-based brothers Trent and Lane Moore. Trent will take on Rotax Heavy at state titles and shift to DD2 class at the CIK Stars of Karting. Lane will continue his assault in both Australia and New Zealand, after securing a seat to also race for Intrepid in New Zealand for the Rotax Max Challenge and New Zealand Rotax Nationals.

2010 was a great year for De Maio winning three state titles and with podium finishes around the country, he will continue under the tutelage of Peter Cathcart and his Victorian-based CC Racing, along-side Troy Woolston (KZ2, Rotax Heavy), Paul Rodgers (Rotax Heavy), Mitchell Griffin (Junior Max), and Brittany Smith (Rotax Light).

Supporting Tyler in his move to Intrepid will be Queensland’s premier kart retailer Kaos Karting, Bolt Pro and Intrepid Australia. Tyler will also get a heap of new gear courtesy of clothing partner, Rampant.

In 2011, Greenbury will contest Rotax Light at Pro Tour and state championships and return to the CIK Stars of Karting series in KZ2 for Bolt Pro Racing alongside young teammate Hayden Jackson.

Gold Coast-based youngster Zane Goddard is also planning a big year having stepped up from Midgets to Rookies in 2010 and gained additional experience competing in an international field at the Yamaha SL International in Kuala Lumpur.

With a range of talented drivers sporting the orange chassis for the year, Intrepid Australia is looking forward to taking the Italian falcon to continued success in 2011.
