Karting will be featured on television screens across the country tomorrow (Wednesday) night when the hosts of ONE’s RPM program get behind the wheel for a Karting Challenge.

The Challenge between hosts Greg Rust, Darryl Beattie and Craig Baird along with special reporter Amy O’Mara will see them take to Newcastle’s Mount Sugarloaf circuit aboard a variety of 125cc TaG karts.

An avid karter, Rust rates his chances in the challenge highly, while the experience in the Moto GP Championship for Beattie and almost every variety of racing car for Baird, should hold them both in good stead. Having competed in the Australian Superbike Series, it will also be interesting to see how O’Mara copes with the extra two wheels.

Guiding the quartet throughout the feature will be four of Australia’s top young drivers from the CIK Stars of Karting Series presented by Castrol EDGE – Jake Parsons, Matthew Waters, John Grother and Elle Brydon.

Be sure to tune in to ONE’s RPM program from 10:30pm tomorrow (Wednesday) night to check out the action.

The Australian Karting Association would like to thank the Karting NSW Executive, Newcastle Kart Racing Club, Tracksa Racing, St George Kart Centre, Kart 1, Precision Motorsport, John Grother, Matthew Waters, Jacob Parsons, Elle Brydon, Peter Galvin and AF Images’ Paul Carruthers for their assistance during the filming of this feature.
