TOP LINE STATE SERIES RETURNS TO SA IN 2011

South Australian karters have a reason to smile in 2011 with the launch of the SA Pro Series.

The four-round series, which coincides with the country’s elite series – the CIK Stars of Karting Series – returning to the Festival State in 2011, will see drivers in the Junior Max, Rotax Light and Heavy, Leopard Light and Heavy along with the KZ2 Gearbox category competing.

With a race format of one five-minute qualifying session, two 10-lap heat races and two equal distance finals of 15 laps, the series will provide competitors with ample track time during the one-day events.

The series is scheduled to kick off on Sunday February 6 at Bolivar Raceway, the venue for round two of the CIK Stars of Karting Series in April.  It will then head to the Monarto Karting complex in June before returning to Bolivar in July and being completed at Monarto in November.

With the opening round being held at Bolivar it provides a great opportunity for CIK Stars of Karting competitors to gain valuable track time ahead of round two of their series.
