Tom Manwaring will be hoping his good recent form continues at the Bob Hinde Memorial this weekend.

Racers from around the district, including home grown Tom Manwaring, will flock to the Grenfell Kart Club for the annual Bob Hinde Memorial go-karting meeting this weekend.

Having tasted success at the last Southern Stars round at Grenfell last month, Manwaring is confident of another solid result for the Allcott Hire team.

“Our chassis was one of the best on track all weekend last month. We took out Pole Position which was cool, and had a couple of podium finishes as well,” he said. “Really in this championship it’s all about consistency, and that’s what we’ll be aiming for this weekend at the Bob Hinde Memorial.”

Although Tom’s hopes of taking out Zone Champion in Senior National Light have all but faded after a horror start to 2014, there are still a few very large meetings on the calendar, including his first State Title assault next month at Eastern Creek Sydney.

More than 25 drivers have entered for Tom’s class, and over 200 for the entire weekend’s events.

Qualifying, three heats, Friday practice, a carby session and two finals will fill the timetable, with qualifying kicking off early Saturday morning.

“A massive thanks to my sponsors here in Cowra and Forbes, EconoLodge Motor Inn, Golden Glove Nursery, G&B Automotive, L.Williams Quality Used Cars, White Race Tuning and CMC Machinery for their support, I really couldn’t have the kart speed I do without their generous time and effort,” Tom said.

“As always a big thanks to Allcott Hire my major partner, they’ve really given me the opportunity to step up into the higher levels of club racing, and even some State Titles this year.”
