The November edition of KartOz Magazine is available now

Welcome Australian Karters to the November edition of KartOz Magazine. It’s another great month of karting action.

It’s always hard when there’s two big meets on the same weekend and doubly hard to decide between them they’re both State Titles. For those who had to make the hard choice we have full reports from both the WA and NSW State Titles. The conflict does raise questions about why two prestigious events, even two on opposite sides of the country, were scheduled on the same weekend. There are always karters willing to travel, as evidenced by the 30+ drivers from the eastern states at the WA Titles. It brings to mind the 2008 calendar, where the Tasmanian, WA and NSW Titles were on the same weekend…

Also on this month was Queensland Closed Titles, which was another of the big meetings this year to be plagued by rain. It’s been a bad year for those without wet weather practice, with buckets coming down over many big meetings. We may be out of the woods now with spring coming in, but if you haven’t brushed up on wet weather driving yet, you should, as it will no doubt rain again next year!

Inside you’ll also find a full report on the inaugural CIK-FIA U/18s World Championship, which included the CIK-FIA Academy Trophy. It is, as can be expected, a brilliant format for an event and one that we hope continues in years to come.

We’ve got the scoop on the recent changes to Formula 4-Stroke racing – now Auskart Racing. Not all karting in Australia is governed by the AKA, as many may think, and Auskart is entirely viable as well!

Speaking of non-AKA meets; this month was the latest round of the ProKart Queensland Australia Endurance Kart Championship, for all of you endurance junkies out there. We’ve got the full report on all the teams, as per usual.

Plus, as usual, we have heaps of race reports from around Australia and worldwide.

Look for the cover featuring dual 2010 NSW State Champions David Sera, Joseph Mawson and Darsey Kondoparakis plus Clubman Heavy champion now for three years running Jason Hryniuk.

It’s well worth a read!
