The June edition of KartOz Magazine is now on sale - from KartOz Magazine

Welcome Australian Karters to the June edition of KartOz Magazine. It’s another great month of karting action.

The Nationals hangover may have gone by now for some but spare a thought for those drivers who made the trip out West only to turn straight back around to make it to another big meet.

We’re speaking about the third round of the Rotax Pro Tour, held soon after the Nationals. It was an 8000km round trip from Cockburn to Port Macquarie (and that’s not including the extra distance from a karter’s home town) but that didn’t deter some in the slightest. The Port Macquarie track’s tree-lined location made for great picnics but tough driving, and all that attended challenged hard for the points in the Rotax Rankings.

Held on the same weekend as the Pro Tour was the Yellow Tail Cup, at the Griffith Kart Club. Despite the scheduling clash there were large numbers on hand and with $14,000 worth of cash prizes on hand, can you blame them for attending? It’s always a good weekend, held in good spirits and the presence of the race sponsors, Yaluma Wines, to present trophies and prizes made it all the sweeter.

We’re also the full bottle on the Victorian Country Series, with round three being held recently and, as always, big numbers were there showing support of this great series. Racing was great and the points system meant that finals winners weren’t always the ones going home with a trophy – consistency was king.

From across the Tasman there’s also a report on the New Zealand Karting Championship. Our brothers across the straight certainly know how to put on a race meeting, and this time around was no different – plus there was an Australian karter who put them in their places… to find out who, check out our race report.

Plus, as usual, we have heaps of race reports from around Australia and worldwide.

Look for the cover featuring Young Rising Stars, Mitchell Kennedy, Cody Brewczynski, Anton DePasquale, Jordan Caruso and Chris Burley.

It’s well worth a read!
