THE adage “a week is a long time in sport” certainly applies to Toowoomba kart driver Brendan Nelson.
Experiencing an ever-increasing period of time without a major victory, Nelson has enjoyed a phenomenal week, winning three state titles.
Nelson broke through for wins in the Clubman Heavy and Rotax Heavy classes at the Queensland Closed Karting Titles in Warwick on September 26 before taking out the New South Wales Open Sprint Rotax Heavy crown in Tamworth on Sunday.
