SWAN Hill Kart Club successfully staged the Victorian Closed Titles over the weekend.
The event saw 184 kart racing enthusiasts from across Victoria converge on Chisholm Reserve for the weekend.
The event also proved popular with spectators with cars lining alongside the main straight for yesterday’s final.
Club publicity officer Di James said the weekend had been a success.
“The classes all flowed through nicely with no huge problem,” she said.
“It was a good weekend and weather wise it was great.”
James said the club’s facilities had impressed other club members.
“All the competitors that travelled from across the state were amazed with what we’ve done with the facility,” she said.
“They were very impressed.”
On the racing front, all grades proved to be competitive, James said.
“We actually had quite a few close finishes,” she said.
James said the club was proud of its ability to host the event.
“It was a lot of hard work… we’ve been out there every weekend probably for the last month setting up,” she said.
