STATEMENT: ELAINE KRETZSCHMAR

It is with sadness that Karting Australia acknowledges the passing of one of its founding members Elaine Kretzschmar.

Elaine passed away on Saturday February 25, she was aged 84.

Elaine was victorious in both the 125cc and 100cc Ladies classes at the inaugural Australian Championship event held during 1963 in Seymour, Victoria.

Karting Australia on behalf of the entire karting community offers its condolences to the Kretzschmar family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday March 1 in the West Chapel, Woronora Cemetery, 121 Linden St, Sutherland NSW 2232.
