Remo Luciani is now stranger to racing but when it comes to racing against rising water he’s taking no chances.

With Horsham on high alert for flooding due to unseasonal rain Luciani is taking no chances and has spent the day sandbagging up his home Barnes Boulevard, located on the Wimmera River.

“We’re on high alert in front of the river, there’s only the road and playground between us and the river, as a result we’ve just finished sandbagging part of the house,” said Luciani.

“Just went out to the track and that’s under water for the second time in four months.

“We don’t expect it to peak until next Tuesday, another metre it will probably come into the house, we won’t know for another couple of days. It’s very much new ground for everyone.”
