North Shore Kart Club Members to take on New Zealand - from the NSKC

North Shore Kart Club members Matt Waters and Jake Parsons will head off this weekend to make their assault on the CIK Trophy of New Zealand.

Both Parsons and Waters are feeling confident going into the Trans Tasman race after both having competed in the last 2 years of the CIK Stars of Karting Series.

NSKC President Steve Parsons is not only a very proud father but also a very proud club president. “I have obviously been right behind Jake’s career but to have Matt over in New Zealand with us will only help as the boys are club mates as well as mates, so it will be just like racing at home. I know all the NSKC members will be cheering the boys on as they represent the club and their country.” Said Parsons.

Waters and Parsons are making the switch this year in to the Kosmic chassis for the CIK Stars of Karting Series. Parsons will be debuting his new chassis in NZ and will also have another club member Troy Hunt (life Member) from Top Gun Racing to help spin the spanners for him. Waters will have his father as his mechanic.

Kosmic Racing NSW team principal Peter Galvin and Remo Racing’s Remo Luciani will be a very keen observer’s from back home as they will be watching 2 of their young kosmic drivers battle it out for what will be a great feather in the cap for them.

“Its moments like these that make you proud to be a member of your club, I have had the pleasure of watching Matt and Jake for some time now and to have two club members competing overseas in a CIK meeting at the same time is great for not only the club but for karting in Australia,” said Galvin.
