NEW IDENTITY FOR KARTING IN NEW SOUTH WALES

There is a new brand identity for karting in New South Wales with the State Karting Council of the Australian Karting Association (NSW) passing a motion to change the Association’s name to Karting (New South Wales) Inc. recently.

The re-branding coincides with a restructure of the Association to a ‘Governance’ model and will allow for an easily identifiable brand image for the sport of karting in Australia’s most populated state.

Along with the move to the new structure is also the movement from the Executive to a Board of Directors for Karting (New South Wales) Inc. for the incumbent members. Steve King becomes the Chief Executive Officer/Chairman of the Board, Bob Baker – Director Strategic Service (Planning & Training), Peter O’Neill – Director Financial Service, Steve Fisher – Director Member Services Northern Zone, Tony Agland – Director Member Services Southern Zone, Derek Ferry – Director Member Services Central Zone and Lilian Stones – Director Industry Services.

“I believe this is a significant step forward for not only the sport of karting in New South Wales but also for the sport generally in Australia,’ said King.

“Over the past decade we have run the sport very much like a business here in New South Wales and moving to the governance structure is the another big step forward for us as an Association.”
