NATIONALS SHAKEDOWN TIME AT MONARTO

In the build up to the 51st Australian National Sprint Kart Titles the Go Kart Club of SA will be hosting a Nationals Shakedown race weekend on February 9/10 at its Monarto venue near Murray Bridge, South Australia.

In a unique approach, the club has split the weekend intwo two race meetings to maximize the race practice for competitrs.

All categories that will compete at the National Championships will race on both days, however, they will be joined by the Rookies, Restricted and Sportsman 125 on Sunday only.

Saturday’s format will consist of five heats of 7 laps while Sunday’s race meeting will incorporate qualifying and three heats of 7, 11 and 16 laps respectively.

Each day needs to be entered separately and will cost $80 in total ($40 for each day).  As they are both separate race meetings a driver can enter one day only or both days and the track will be open for free practice on Friday February 8.

The supplementary regulations are available from the home page at www.gokartclubofsa.com and entries are by the CM:S.

This will be the last chance for race practice before the nationals.
