2025 Australian Kart Masters Honouring Ian Brown
June 6–8, 2025 | Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club, NSW
Celebrating 30 Years of Karting Greatness
Join us this King’s Birthday Long Weekend for a very special edition of the Australian Kart Masters—our 30th Anniversary and the first year this iconic event proudly carries a new name: The Australian Kart Masters Honouring Ian Brown.
This tribute recognises the extraordinary dedication of Ian Brown, one of our longest-serving and most respected volunteers. For decades, Ian—fondly known as “Brownie”—worked tirelessly to ensure the continued success and growth of this event. His vision and unwavering commitment transformed the Over 40s Titles into one of the most anticipated karting events in the country.
The Australian Kart Masters is a celebration of both competition and community. Previously designed for drivers aged 40 and over, it’s a chance to chase the prestigious National Grey Plate while enjoying a friendly, social atmosphere. This year, we’re also lowering the age limit to 35 for selected classes, making it more accessible than ever!
2025 CLASSES:
-
TaG Restricted Light, Medium & Heavy
-
4SS Light, Heavy & Supermaxx Light/Medium
-
KA3 Senior & Ladies Race (TaG Restricted) – from 35 years
-
DD2 Masters – from 32 years (as per the rulebook)
We’ll also be awarding the Russell Grimson Memorial Trophy to the largest class, keeping alive another proud legacy within our karting community.
Why You Should Be There:
-
An unforgettable weekend of racing, mateship, and celebration
-
A fantastic track that drivers love—fast, technical, and fun
-
A relaxed, social vibe with lots of laughs and stories off the track
-
The chance to honour two legends of the sport: Ian Brown and Russell Grimson
Whether you’re racing or supporting, come and be part of this milestone event. Bring your mates, pack your kart, and head to Coffs Harbour for a weekend of action, memories, and motorsport at its best.
