Canberra’s Zane Morse holds a significant lead in the series standings in Junior Max following the last round of the Rotax Pro Tour in Albury and this weekend, the Tony Kart driver will be again looking to impress and take his third round win in a row, while recent strong form from fellow Junior Max drivers Joshua Fife and Zane’s brother Alec, along with Rotax Light’s Cody Gillis and Nathan Tigani has Tom Williamson Motorsport (TWM) shaping up to secure yet more success in Warwick.

Both Zane and Alec formed part of the top five Junior Max podium at Albury, with the older of the two replicating his impressive winning form from round two in Dubbo while it was Alec’s first piece of Pro Tour silverware of the year.

Fellow Canberran Joshua Fife displayed impressive race pace across the Albury weekend, in addition to a fourth place finish at the recent Australian Kart Championship round in Adelaide, Fife is seeking a place on the podium. In his first season as part of the National Rotax Series, Wagga Wagga’s Cameron Longmore continued to gain experience against some of the best junior drivers in Albury and is looking to build upon that this weekend.

After stepping aboard the BirelART chassis for the first time in Albury, Cody Gillis looked right at home, qualifying inside the top five and exhibiting true outright race pace. The results helped to improve Gillis’ overall standings to fourth, bearing down on the critical top three in the Rotax rankings.

In his first full season in Rotax Light as part of the Pro Tour, Nathan Tigani has made an
impressionable start in the first half of the season, sitting sixth in the points, while Jack Richardson will be looking to bounce back to continue his climb up the order following his home round last time out.

Following an absence from round three in Albury due to commitments with the Australian V8 Ute Racing Series in Perth, Kris Walton steps back in the seat for his first time behind the wheel of the BirelART DD2 Kart. Walton will fly the TWM flag in the category, with DD2 Masters current number one plate holder Adam Hunter chasing a return to the podium this weekend in an effort to step back into the top three in the series points.

Tom Williamson – Team Principal
“As a team, we have achieved some very good results in recent events, in particular at Albury to have both Morse brothers on the podium and to see all three of our Rotax Light drivers inside the top ten in the points. The drivers have been working hard to prepare for this weekend and the Warwick layout is tough, but I feel as though they are ready to take it on and hopefully bring home more silverware.”

The next major event for Tom Williamson Motorsport will be round four of the Rotax Pro Tour at Warwick, Queensland from 5-7 June.
