Welcome Australian Karters to the May edition of KartOz Magazine. Its another great month of karting action.
Well, its the biggest race meet of the year for almost every driver and it finally rolled into town for another year. Were talking of course about the Nationals, held this year in the fine surrounds of Cockburn International Raceway in Perth, WA. And what a race meet it was, with action galore. Weve got the full report from our reporter on the scene.
We also have all the action from the first round of Victorias Golden Power Series held at Rochester and the first round of Queenslands Supercheap Auto Kart Series from Rockhampton, plus heaps of action from the second round of the very popular NSW State Cup contested at Wollongong Raceway that saw a very big turnout.
Also inside is Round Two of the CIK Series, which made its return to the Festival State, via Bolivar Raceway, after a six-year absence. It was again a highly professional meet with some serious moving and shaking with DNFs forcing many more favoured names to be watching from the side.
Weve got news from America with the latest from the Florida Winter Tour as well as the Pan American Rotax Max Challenge. Our very own David Sera was at the Florida Winter Tour for the final rounds and weve got the report on how he went and whether he managed to nab the spot to the Rotax World Finals.
