AUSTRALIAN kart driver Joseph Mawson had no luck in the first round of the CIKFIA European KF Championships in Spain on the weekend.
Mawson was in a strong field of 64 entrants representing 23 countries at the prestigious event.
While competing with the Top Kart Racing team, the Hinchinbrook local qualified the best of the Australians, setting the 44th fastest time. However, he failed to make the final race.
Denmark topped the podium, with Nicklas Nielsen finishing ahead of fellow Dane Christian Sorensen.
