GOOD sports do good things and the National Breast Cancer Foundation has benefited from some good sports from a special event held in Lithgow earlier this year.
The Combined Districts Kart Club holds a special ladies ‘pink’ event at its Marrangaroo racetrack and as a result the club was able to hand over $16,000 to the foundation at a small ceremony recently.
On hand to receive the donation was National Breast Cancer Foundation representative Gabriel Lacoba.
The latest donation takes the contribution from the club to more than $100,000 over the last six years.
This is a great effort from everybody who contributes, in particular all the girls whom support the ladies only race meeting annually.
The club and its members are now looking forward to the next race meeting for the girls only race meeting in January at Lithgow City Kart Raceway.
