Keb Evans wins both the Western Cup and South East Zone titles for the second consecutive year.

The youngster who is the current WA State Cadet Champion lives in Denmark on the south coast of Western Australia had to travel long distances to Hurricane, Midwest, Bunbury and Tiger kart clubs for the Western Cup and to the Eastern Goldfields, Esperance, Lake King and Albany kart clubs to compete in the South East Zone.

In 2012 as a Cadet driver he won the Western Cup by 1073 pts and the South East Zone by 1093 pts, this year he repeated the process by winning the Western Cup by 445 pts and the South East Zone by 230 pts this time as a Rookie driver.

Keb, said it was great travelling to the different clubs and racing against some of the best drivers in WA. Last year as a Cadet was great winning the both zone series but to back it up again in 2013 is something I didn’t think would happen. The competition is much tougher as I get older and I have had some awesome races over both series.

I now looking forward the King of the Hill one of WA’s biggest race meetings being held later this month at Hurricane Kart Club and then we’re into full preparation for the 2013 WA State Championship at Esperance one of my favourite tracks.

Next year will be very exciting as I’m moving up to the Junior National Light class so I guess it will quite a learning curve with a different size chassis and no restrictor.
