At the recent National Karting Council (NKC) conference, a presentation was discussed for a kids program to help develop the skills of young drivers.
The program, designed for children aged between five and seven years of age, is aimed to introduce youngster to driving skills at an early age. One of the key principles is to focus not on any sort of racing but rather the fun and enjoyment of getting behind the wheel.
At the NKC conference, a sub-committee was formed to develop a plan for this program. The committee would like to request feedback/thoughts from the karting industry on the mechanics of the program to ensure the best possible outcome for the program.
Any feedback from industry members is to be provided in an email to Lee Hanatschek via email on lee.hanatschek@karting.net.au no later than November 30.
