Go kart track revs up - from the Whyalla News

Don’t miss the action packed Whyalla Go Kart Club monthly race meet this Saturday.

This weekend’s meeting will play host to 12 thrilling rounds raced by top go kart drivers from around Whyalla.

The Mount Young Race Way is one of five bitumen tracks outside of Adelaide and has hosted large events including Whyalla City Titles, Festival State cup, State titles and closed State Titles.

This Saturday, spectators will witness racers getting up to speeds of 95km per hour along the 520m-long track, with some of them having competed at state level.

Club member Dave Camwell said go karting was a sport for the whole family and was a great direction for children and teenagers.
