Australia’s elite karting championship, the CIK Stars of Karting Series presented by Castrol EDGE, kicks off this weekend in Ipswich, Queensland.
A total of 160 entries have been received for the event, including 67 drivers across the three pro categories.
The break-up of the entries is as follows:
Pro Gearbox (KZ2) – 27
Pro Light (KF) – 18
Pro Junior (KFJ) – 22
TaG 125 Light – 32
TaG 125 Heavy – 23
TaG Restricted – 20 (11 Light & 9 Heavy)
Rookies – 17

Practice will be contested for the Pro categories and the TaG 125 classes on Friday February 22 with qualifying and heat races for all categories from 9am on Saturday February 23. The Finals will begin at 9am on Sunday February 24.
The Ipswich Kart Club is located on Champions Way, Willowbank.
Admission for spectators is free.
