PORTLAND Karting Club hosted an inter-club meeting on Sunday with some great racing from around 30 competitors.
“We’re very happy with the turnout,” Portland Karting Club president Brad Anderson told the Portland Observer.
“This one’s a warm up for the second round of the Victorian County Series which will be held here next month.
“That’s why a lot of the guys from Hamilton and Warrnambool have come over; to have a practice here and get their set-ups right for that weekend.”
The meeting is the club’s biggest of the year and will feature around 160 competitors from Victoria and South Australia take to the Portland track.
The racing will be held on April 21 and 22, and Anderson said that about 12 Portland Karting Club members would be in the field.
