AUSTRALIANS SET THE PRACTICE PACE IN BAHRAIN

Australia’s Joseph Mawson, Jacob Parsons and James Abela have made a flying start to their campaign at the final round of the CIK-FIA Under 18 World Championship and Academy Trophy in Bahrain.

With the circuit new to championship, unlike the opening two rounds where the European-based drivers had a distinct advantage, Mawson and Parsons finished the day by posting the second fastest time in their respective group.

Abela was the pacesetter in the Academy Trophy sessions, which like the Under 18s were all held under lights, to enter tomorrow’s qualifying day high in confidence.
