AUSSIES ALL OVER THE WORLD THIS WEEKEND

Australians will be competing in various parts of the world this weekend with some big races not only here in Australia but also abroad.

Tomorrow night up to 80 top drivers will converge on the Eastern Creek International Karting Raceway for the Yamaha Karting Showdown where a full grid of Junior National and Clubman drivers are expected to assemble.

This event will run a condensed format and incorporate a Media/V8 Team Personnel Challenge following the day’s V8 Supercar action at the adjacent Sydney Motorsport Park.

Also in New South Wales, the Combined Districts Kart Club will host the Annual City of Sydney Titles, while in the North of the country Cairns will host the Far North Queensland Titles.

Another big event is being held in Western Australia with the Hurricane Kart Club hosting the King of the Hill event.

On the other side of the globe, Australia will have four representatives in action.

Joseph Mawson and Jacob Parson will be battling for the CIK-FIA Under 18 World Championship during round two of the series in France.  Also at the event James Abela will be in action competing in the Academy Trophy.  Updates on their progress will be posted here on karting.net.au throughout the weekend and Live Timing can be found by clicking here.

Thomas Randle has been the hottest junior driver over the past two months having been unbeatable during his last four starts across the country.  This weekend he’s taking on England’s best drivers in the Super One Series at the Three Sisters circuit.  Live timing from this event can be found by clicking here.
