Second-generation racer Macauley Jones continued his stellar debut year in the Senior ranks by taking out the Clubman Light category in the City of Melbourne Titles at the Port Melbourne Karting Complex on the weekend.

Three-time Australian Champion James Sera led for the majority of the race aboard his FA Kart, only to have Jones make a late race pass for the victory.

Behind the leading duo came youngster Jordan Ford, veteran Shayne Piper, Jordan Nicolaou and Adelaide’s Julian Lunetta.

Sera turned the tables on his opposition by securing a comprehensive victory in Leopard Light, his younger cousin David took out the Rotax Light division.

Matthew Wall walked away as the only driver to secure a double victory across the weekend.  The Shamick Racing-backed driver got the better of a battle with Lee Mitchener in both the Clubman and Leopard Heavy categories.

It was a NSW one-two in Junior MAX with CRG driver Pierce Lehane leading home Joseph Burton-Harris while Justin Francis picked up the Junior Clubman win after race leader Jason LeCocq and Luke Marquis came together on the final lap.

Wright Kart driver Jordan Caruso backed up his Midget class victory from the Victorian Open at the venue while the Rookies crown went to Thomas Prascevic.

Anton De Pasquale dominated Junior National Heavy with a clean sweep over Damon Strongman who went one better to claim the spoils in the Light class.

The remaining senior class victories went to Zeke Edwards (Rotax Heavy), Chris Sanderson (Clubman Over 40’s) and James Cornfoot (TaG Restricted).
