TRAINING CERTIFICATION GRANTS

The Karting Australia Training Certification Grant aims to support the continuous improvement of officials’ development and training, recognising the vital role that officials play in the sport of karting.

 

 

 

ABOUT KARTING AUSTRALIA’S TRAINING CERTIFICATION GRANTS PROGRAM

This grant supports State and National Officials in advancing their professional development by co-funding the completion of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122).

This initiative aims to equip State and National officials with the skills needed to effectively deliver training programs aligned with content contained in the Karting Australia Officials Academy.

It will assist State Associations meet their delegated responsibilities around training of Officials. Successful completion will help participants meet the requirements outlined in Chapter 7 and Appendix 7 of the Australian Karting Manual – National Competition Rules, particularly for those fulfilling the role of State Training Officers.

Co-Funding Amount

Karting Australia will provide a co-contribution of $750 to successful applicants.

Applicants are expected to secure matching co-funding of $750, which may be sourced from one or more of the following:

  • Their State Association
  • An Affiliated Club
  • A personal contribution
  • Third-party support, such as a sponsor or local business

Evidence of confirmed or committed co-funding must be included with the application.  State and/or Club Financial Assistance Form can be accessed here.

This is based on participants enrolling in the KA preferred Registered Training Organisation that can provide the maximum flexibility for completion.

About the Course

Karting Australia has secured a preferred Registered Training Organisation (RTO) via RAM Training Services, that can provide the maximum flexibility for completion of the TAE 40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

The course combines Self Paced DISTANCE LEARNING + 3- DAY LIVE VIRTUAL WORKSHOP. Participants have the flexibility to complete parts of the course from home at their own pace (approx. 80% course content), with the addition of a 3- day virtual Assessment & Validation class (delivered via Zoom, live with a trainer and other students), to cover off the practical assessment tasks.

Who Can Apply?

  • State and National Graded Officials (Level 2 or above preferred) without existing education/teaching qualifications or Cert IV TAE
  • State Officials Coordinators and State Technical Officers without existing education/teaching qualifications or Cert IV TAE
  • State and National Officials interested in fulfilling training roles such as State Training Officer (as per Australian Karting Manual Appendix 7)
