Spectacular karting action on Shannons Supercar Showdown this Sunday

Find out what these two contestants are amazed by this Sunday at 5pm.

One contestant will get a timely reminder that motorsport is dangerous this Sunday in the third episode of Shannons Supercar Showdown, screening 5pm on 7mate.

As the nine remaining young guns battle it out in a karting challenge, one contestant pushes too hard with spectacular consequences and is sent immediately to hospital as a result of a high-speed crash, captured by the show’s camera crew and on-board GoPro cameras.

Following the karting carnage, contestants face a driving challenge that sees them pushed to the edge as they are forced to multi-task while navigating a complex track, with the weakest performer eliminated.

Also get a behind-the-scenes look at the Kelly Racing team’s weekend at the Winton Motor Raceway event, where the team leaves its home circuit with sad faces following ordinary results.
