The C.ex Raceway in Coffs Harbour will host the opening round of the 2026 Australian Kart Championship
The 2026 Australian Kart Championship will begin at the C.ex Raceway in Coffs Harbour on the revised date of March 13-15, 2026.
After the Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club successfully hosted the 2025 Championship decider, today’s announcement marks the third consecutive year the Championship will visit the Coffs Coast. Supported by the City of Coffs Harbour, last year’s event generated significant exposure for the sport and strong economic benefits throughout the region.
Mayor Nikki Williams said she is delighted to welcome the karting community back in 2026.
“We’ve seen over the past couple of years how fantastic hosting a round of the Australian Kart Championship is for our local economy and for the sport here in Coffs Harbour, and we’re honoured to host the opening round in 2026,” said Mayor Williams.
“To be able to have our great facility host a round of the Championship for three consecutive years is a great reward for all of the hard work and commitment put in by James and Collette Morrison and everyone involved in the Coffs Harbour Club. We look forward to welcoming drivers, teams and the karting industry to Coffs Harbour in March.”
Karting Australia Chief Executive Officer Kelvin O’Reilly said the continued support from the City of Coffs Harbour highlights the value the Championship brings to the local communities.
“The City of Coffs Harbour, especially Mayor Williams, clearly recognise the significant economic benefits that hosting a round of the Championship can deliver, and we’re delighted to partner with them again to open the 2026 season in Coffs Harbour,” O’Reilly said.
“This event has quickly become one of the most anticipated on the calendar, and we look forward to building on the momentum of recent years with a spectacular start to the Championship in March.”
Further venues in the schedule for the 2026 Australian Kart Championship will be announced tomorrow, with Full Championship entries opening this Friday.
Important note for all teams and competitors
Round one will be preceded by a Social Karting Activity organised by the Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club on Thursday March 12, 2026.
