Nominations are now open for the 2026 Honours and Awards, recognising outstanding contributions and achievements within the Australian karting community.
The prestigious awards will be presented at the 2026 Honours and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Mawson Lakes in South Australia, held in conjunction with the Building Better Kart Clubs Conference.
As part of Karting Australia’s Volunteer Management Framework and Strategic Plan, the Honours and Awards program celebrates individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, leadership, and passion. It is an opportunity to honour the unsung heroes whose dedication has shaped the sport’s growth and fostered a sense of pride and unity across the karting community.
Nominations are now open for the following distinguished honours:
- Life Membership
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Impact on Karting Award
Nomination Process and Requirements:
- Nominations are open to Karting Australia members, including Directors, the CEO, and Individual and Life Members.
- Each nomination must be submitted via the online form, providing details of the nominee’s service and contributions to karting.
- Nominations for Life Membership, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Impact on Karting Award must be seconded by at least two Karting Australia members.
Key Award Criteria:
- Life Membership: Awarded for at least eight years of sustained service and a lasting positive impact on karting in Australia.
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Recognising more than 12 years of exceptional national-level contribution and leadership.
- Impact on Karting Award: Honouring individuals with 10 or more years of service who have significantly influenced the sport at state or national levels through leadership and dedication.
These awards are a unique opportunity to recognise the individuals who have shaped our sport. Karting Australia encourages all members of the community to get involved by nominating those who inspire and contribute at the highest level.
