Asia-Pacific KF: registration extended to Grade “A” drivers – From the CIK-FIA

The sporting regulations of the CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific KF Championship, initially reserved for drivers holding Grade B or Grade C-Senior international licences, have been modified at the request of the JAF (Japan Automobile Federation), the ASN organising the first event. This is in order to allow the best Japanese drivers, the majority of whom hold Grade A licences to take part in the Championship. Local drivers are of course not the only ones who will benefit from this extension of the eligibility criteria, since this “open” championship is open to all drivers holding a licence issued by an ASN affiliated to the FIA. In the past, the CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific Championship has often seen drivers from Europe and Oceania among its participants.

The first event of the 2013 CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific Championship will be held at the prestigious Suzuka circuit in Japan from 23 to 26 May. Registration closes on 2 May. The second and final event will be contested in Macao, from 9-12 October 2013.
