On Sunday, 2nd December, the NSW Speedway Kart Club closed off their 2012 Season with another sensational presentation evening witnessed by over 200 guests.
The evening celebrated the triumphs and successes of the Season for the drivers and the Club as a whole.
The year started slowly, due to 5 washed out meetings, however it ended with a night of fun and happiness as everyone let their hair down. Drivers, crews and Club members can now enjoy their “off” season and start preparing for the 2013 racing Season, commencing in only 8 weeks!
A full list of awards winners is below however the all important Club Champion was crowned by guest of honour, Rod Bowen, who spoke of the importance of the role that the Club plays in preparing the future stars of speedway. Michael Jordan was the most deserving recipient, becoming a dual champion with the win.
Junior Drivers filled the 2 minor spots with Jake Baines coming home 2nd and young lady driver, Katelyn Hickey, making history as the first female driver since the formation of the Club to make the top 3, in third place.
The night, as was the Season, was a great success and members partied until finally they had to be asked to leave the venue, such was the high spirit being displayed by all.
The Committe would like to thank everyone for their attendance on the night and for making it another great event to remember.
The Committee and members of the NSWSKC would like to acknowledge and thank all their corporate partners for their support throughout 2012. It is the generous support of the following companies that allow the Club to be held in the esteem it is.
