Karters from across the Auckland region will converge on KartSport Auckland’s Moselle Panel & Paint Raceway this weekend for the 10th annual Auckland Area Schools’ championship meeting.

The event has attracted entries from across the isthmus with 15 schools represented in the Primary/Intermediate division and 12 in the Secondary Schools one.

St Kentigern College has always been one of the strongest contenders for Secondary Schools’ honours and returns this year with five representatives. Pukekohe High and Albany Junior High are next with four with Howick College, Long Bay College, Scared Heart, Waiau Pa, St Peters and Kings all fielding two each.

Class-wise the biggest entries are in the Junior categories with 14 in Cadet, 13 in Formula Junior and 12 in Junior Restricted 100cc Yamaha.

There will be testing at the Moselle Panel & Paint track on Saturday with action on Sunday between 10.00am and 5.00pm.
