IAME Winning star of the first round of the WSK Super Masters Series

IAME conquers the podium in all classes at the first meeting of the WSK Super Master Series, with victory in KZ2 and KFJ.

Daniel Ticktum

60 MINI
Skeed (Top Kart) is 3° overall and winner of two heats. He starts from the 6th row, jumps in 3rd position right from the first lap and keeps his position up to the podium. Well done also for Dalkiran Mehmet Mert (Top Kart): after a difficult start (36° after the count of the penalties) he very well recovers 12 positions in the pre-final and is 13° overall in the final. All IAME engines on track get a place in the classification of the final.

KFJ
The man to beat is again Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi): 3° best lap and pole position in the final. He loses the leadership at the start but he gains it back in only 5 laps and, from here, he flies to victory with the best lap of the race. Very well done also for Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic): 15° after the qualifying heats, 2° in the pre-final A and 4° in the final, just a whisker away from the podium. Sereia (Birel) does well too: 3° in one of the qualifying heats and 11° in the final after recovering 11 positions. Viscal, Volegov and Legeret are also in the final.

KF
The great protagonist is Callum Ilott (Zanardi): 3° after the qualifying heats and at the finish line of the pre-final A, he starts the final from the 2nd row. After taking the 2° place in few laps, he doesn’t give up until the finish line and jumps on the second step of the podium. 8 IAME engines come behind Ilot in the final: Dabski (Praga) is 7° recovering from the 17° place, Van Leeuwen (Zanardi) is 8° after a promising week end (one victory in the heats and 3° in the pre-final), Sitnikov is 9°, after climbing 22 positions. Bertonelli, Volkov and Joyner follow right behind (respectively 11°, 12° and 13°) after a difficult week end: Bertonelli is 41° after the qualifying heats and then 9° at the start of the final, Volkov recovers 22 positions in the race and Joyner compensate the unsatisfying time qualifying result with good qualifying heats and the victory in pre-final B.

Bas Lammers

KZ
Rick Dreezen (Zanardi) stands out the group right from the start: 5° in the time qualifying, 4° after the qualifying heats, 2° in the pre-final B, but then “only” 6° in the final. Bas Lammers (Formula K) conquers the highest step of the podium recovering from the difficulties of the initial part of the meeting. After the 33° position in the time qualifying, he finds the correct set up in the qualifying heats and recovers 12 positions, then comes his masterpiece: he wins the pre-final A and dominates the final from the start to the finish line. Jonathan Thonon (Praga) starts quite slowly but recovers well: 16° after the time qualifying, 5° in the pre-final B and then 7° in the final. His team mate Hajek does even better: 5° in the final after 9 overtakes. Viganò (Top Kart) is very fast but affected by some bad luck: 9° in the time qualifying, he then slips down to the 49° in the qualifying heats, but recover well in the pre-final B with the 8° place. Too bad he is forced to leave the final only after few laps. The Italian drivers has anyway all the talent to do well in the coming meetings.
