Zanardi Corse Australia's 2015 Line-up

Zanardi Corse Australia's SA "brand ambassadors" Daniel Wallis, Christian Cowie, Blake Purdie and Daniel Price

Zanardi Corse Australia would like to welcome the following drivers as official factory drivers.

Zanardi Corse Australia has undergone some recent changes in administration therefore needed to restructure for the 2015 season. We have taken some local South Australian talent under our wing to give them an opportunity on a national level we are very happy with our driver selection and look forward to seeing some great racing out of these drivers for this season.

The team consists of:

Daniel Wallis – TAG125 L
Daniel has been a loyal driver to the Brewer family for the past 3 years representing the various chassis which have been used during this time. Daniel’s work ethic and attention to detail suits well with in the group and with a great 2014 effort saw Daniel as SA’s Leading 125L driver winning both the FSC Cup and Closed state titles. Although Daniel’s interstate racing has been limited I’m sure we will see an enthusiastic effort at all rounds this year in KA TaG with some good results.

Blake Purdie – Cadet12
This young kid has taken the SA Cadet scene by storm in the last 2 years. He is a true product of conventional coaching/mentoring and hard work. Blake has had more podiums and wins in SA then any other Cadet and giving the ZANARDI HERO chassis more wins and podiums than any other brand. His success hasn’t fully transferred to the national status yet but he has had some fantastic results last year and is primed, confident and definitely ready to step up to that top podium.

Daniel Price – KZ2 / X30
Price is one of the first pioneers of the Zanardi brand since its return. Daniel had great varying levels of success whilst using the product in varying classes. After a short break from the brand, a last minute decision was made to return to ZCA and do it in a proper manner. Daniel will be contesting the KZ2 and X30 classes during this years national championships. Daniel has enlisted an SA karting mechanical icon, Tony Fathers, as his mechanic for this year and as round 1 rolls out they will need to work well together in order to get desired results wanted by Daniel.

Christian Cowie – Cadet 9
Christian is taking on a different roll within the factory status. In his short 5 months of racing he has come on in leaps and bounds and shows great potential as another great SA talent. Christian will spend 2015 with Daniel Price being mentored and taught the ropes of Karting from the grass roots. This combo has only seen a couple of events since its inception but has had a positive step forward already. We look forward to an exciting 2015 for this young kid.

This concludes our brand ambassadors for 2015 and look forward to their on track performances. However we have a great line up of team and brand drivers competing at the national rounds.

  • Aaron Oliver will be in Cadet 12 with is first year of interstate travel and competition at the highest level will certainly have his ups and downs but will be one to watch out for.
  • Ryan Aitken is taking on the challenging X30 category and will be one to watch at the Melbourne and SA rounds after settling into his KZ chassis late last year, he is confident of a strong showing.
  • Joel Heinrich a last minute inclusion to the X30 outfit he will bring his loyal supporter and Zanardi dealer BRK karts team with him and have a crack at karting at the highest level. With many motorsport accomplishments the Heinrich family are no strangers to success and see this as a great learning curve but aim to be very competitive.
  • Ben Redjepi Will be debuting in KZ2 with a very short amount of time in the seat. Ben is enthusiastic to race the country’s best drivers in the world’s best category and learn how great a KZ2 machine is.
  • Kris Walton an elite Motorsport ion will be taking to the grid in KZ2. With extensive testing under the TWM banner during the off season he certainly will one to watch in this category.
  • Joel Johnson will join the Cadet 12 brigade and when he is on his game he can mix it with the best of them and I’m sure will have no doubt in showing great speed through out this year.

Zanardi corse Australia are proud to have the following supporters on board: Sprint Auto parts Munno para, Fuchs Lubricants, Wizzer Race Engines, NGK spark plugs
