The Biggest Thank you - From Kel Treseder

Ray and Keryn Fulcher

I want like to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge Ray and Keryn Fulcher for supporting and sponsoring my kart career during the past 12+ years. I can’t thank the Fulcher Family enough for the time and effort they have put in helping me reach the highest levels of success in my karting career over that time.

It has been absolute blast sharing some amazing results, life time memories and some very challenging race weekends , yet in both good and bad times, Ray and Keryn have supported me, rode the waves of success and shared the failure for which I am eternally grateful.

Being based in Bundaberg Queensland, it’s a massive effort to compete across Australia, but distance was never a barrier. In fact, I estimate a total of more than 500,000 kms has been travelled around Australia and America, by both plane and in the famous “Toy Box” Chevy with the KKP trailer in tow. This has included 3 trips over to the USA (competing at the Las Vegas Super Nationals), across to Perth, up to Darwin & down to Adelaide.

Fortunately for me, I racked up most of those Kilometres in the air while Ray & Keryn did the hard work chugging up and down the highway a few days before and after all major events. The only State or Territory in Australia we didn’t race at is Tasmania.

In total, we competed at more than 310 race meetings went through at least 2 shipping containers of new tyres replacing 100’s of pistons/chains/sprockets/brake pads etc in 12 different categories from Senior J Light to the elite KZ2 class.
The results include:
• Four National Championship wins,
• Seven National Championship podium placing
• 26 State Title wins
• NSW/QLD State series wins in the Rotax & Leopard
• Runner up in the KZ2 CIK Championship twice
(Still kicking myself for jumping a start whilst leading in points during the final round for Stars of Karting championship in 2011 where we were to start pole position for Final 1.)

Needless to say, the results above take time, energy and commitment for not only the race meetings but the countless hours of practice and testing weekends has been extraordinary.

At the highest level of karting, I never dreamt I would have the opportunity to be part of this wonderful family that have driven this success.

The time has come for Ray to spend more time with his other interests including Golf & Fishing and for Keryn to spend some quality time with family and the grandkids.

I’m sure they will never be far away from Karting and I know they will still be supporting me as I continue my limited kart racing schedule during 2015.

Enjoy yourselves!
