Kosmic Racing Australia wins another Australian Championship

Dimitri Agathos celebrating his Clubman Light win

Another successful race meeting for the team ending with young Dimitri Agathos taking home one of the most prized wins in Australian karting, the Clubman Light category.

After qualifying fourth Dimitri worked his way through the heat races making sure he was looking after both engine and the Kosmic chassis.

In the final starting on the outside of the front row Dimitri dropped back into 4th off the start but soon moved into second behind the very experienced FA driver of James Sera.

Dimitri then caught and passed James in a very impressive move, taking the lead he then set about posting fast laps to give himself some breathing room over the rest of the field.

Bringing home the win from there Dimitri drove very very well to win his maiden Australian title and probably the hardest title to win.

“I couldn’t be happier for Dimitri he deserves this win, we have talked about the highs and lows of this sport and he has now seen them all. I am very proud of him and he is truly one of the nice guys in karting and a testament to his family. Hats off to his father Emanuel for his spanner skills,” said team boss Peter Galvin.

“The team also did very well with four drivers finishing the prestigious clubman light final inside the top nine.

“We must also congratulate our long standing team driver Matt Waters for winning another Australian Championship in Senior National.

“These results are further proof the team work makes the dream work.”
