KARTING AUSTRALIA LAUNCHES NEW RESOURCE PORTAL FOR CLUBS

Building Better Kart ClubsKarting Australia has launched a new club resource centre called Building Better Kart Clubs – which holds a wealth of information that is required to efficiently operate a Club.

The Building Better Kart Clubs Portal is located at www.buildingbetterkartclubs.com.au

“The Building Better Kart Clubs Portal has been developed in conjunction with the karting community at all levels as an initiative to assist the tireless workers in our Clubs and State Associations to easily access resources and information on running successful clubs and karting events,” said Karting Australia CEO Kelvin O’Reilly.

“Our Clubs are mainly run by volunteers who are often time poor. Building Better Kart Clubs collates numerous concepts, procedures and best practice resources – some that are karting specific some that have been developed for any not for profit community club to assist our volunteer administrators to better run their clubs.

“There is a huge amount of amazing resources available on the web – if you have time to look for them.

“Building Better Kart Clubs brings many of them together in a central repository specific for Australian karting.”

The Portal contains numerous links and tips that will help our clubs to more easily comply with statutory requirements along with helpful links and resources on how to run an effective Club Meeting, the roles and responsibilities required for a Club and much more.

Karting specifically, there are checklists for signing new members up, concepts for presenting and maintaining a circuit, conflict resolution, organising and developing officials and volunteers and promoting your race meeting to the members and the broader community.

“The Portal will be regularly updated to assist Club administrators to continually improve the way in which their Clubs are managed and manner in which their events are run,” said O’Reilly.

The resource is a living document and will be updated with new information as it becomes available. It also provides an opportunity for all Clubs to share their successes.

If your Club has found a useful resource or developed a unique concept that could assist other Clubs across the country and would be suitable to be shared on the Building Better Kart Clubs Portal please email lee@karting.net.au
