COATES HIRE PARTNERS WITH THE RACE OF STARS

Australia’s largest equipment hire company, Coates Hire, has been announced as the naming rights sponsor of this month’s inaugural Race of Stars karting event to be held as a part of the V8 Superfest on Saturday 19 October.

The Coates Hire Race of Stars will see more than 150 of Australia and New Zealand’s top kart racers converge on the Gold Coast’s Xtreme Karting facility at Pimpama to compete at the invitational event.

Coates Hire Group Manager for Strategic Marketing, Jeremy Hill believes the Race of Stars event provides a perfect platform for the company to support a community event whilst establishing a vital link to its other motorsport sponsorship platforms.

“At Coates Hire we’re very much focused on supporting community events through our sponsorship platforms and the Race of Stars is set to be a fantastic community event on the Gold Coast for motorsport fans,” said Hill.

“Coates Hire has been a longstanding part of the motorsport community and is proud to be able to support an event that not only aligns well with our customers and staff but also encourages the growth and development of young drivers.”

For event organisers, the involvement of an iconic Australian company such as Coates Hire is testament to the concept of the Race of Stars expanding the sport of karting into the wider corporate market.

“To have Coates Hire join as a partner with the Race of Stars as we close in on the inaugural event is very exciting for everyone involved,” said Karting Queensland President Ashley Waardenberg.

“We’re continually trying to highlight the professionalism of the sport and recognise that it is not only a breeding ground for the future V8 Supercar stars but also a form of motorsport in its own right.

“The Coates Hire Race of Stars will feature the best drivers from various parts of Australia and New Zealand across three pro categories and three ‘state-based’ classes. The drivers in the Pro categories are expected to exceed 140 km/h around the circuit as they race centimeters apart.”

The involvement of Coates Hire with Race of Stars adds to the hire company’s existing motorsport platforms including being the official equipment hire company and sponsor of the V8 Supercars, alongside recently supporting the Rally Australia event held in Coffs Harbour.

Entry to the Race of Stars for spectators is free. Racing will begin at 8:30am on Saturday October 19 before culminating in the finals from 2:30pm.

The Xtreme Karting Facility is located at 540 Pimpama Jacobs Well Road, Pimpama.
