Eastern Goldfields Kart Club
Southeastern Zone rd 2 – 12th&13th April
Participating clubs Southeastern Zone - Lake King – Kalgoorlie – Esperance – Albany.
We also had entries from Bunbury and Perth clubs

The Championship is proudly supported by – The Laminex Group and Smarter than Smoking
Also thanks to CPC Engineering for their generosity as a major EGKC sponsor.

The weekend saw 110 entries across 12 classes at the Kalgoorlie circuit to battle it out for the points available in the championship.

The EGKC had great support from their members preceding the event to have the facility in tip top shape for our visiting guests.

Three heats on Saturday with one under lights and two heats on Sunday morning.
The racing was sensational and the points at the end of the meeting were very close in some classes.
Two state champions made the trip – Lewis Sutherland (junior clubman) & Jake Klarich (rookie) and both won their respective classes, several juniors ran multiple classes especially young Adam Marjoram racing three all weekend, that is a big ask from the driver and support crew, Adam had success winning one and finishing second in the other two.

The Junior classes were well supported with Junior National Heavy with 17 runners
Junior Clubman with 11, Rookies 11, Junior National Light 14, Midgets 9

Local Kalgoorlie drivers did very well with Holly Patrizi 2nd in Rookies,
Arron McGregor 3rd in Junior Clubman,
Robert Grant 2nd and Jason Akroyd 3rd in the Clubman Super Heavy,
Ricky Carmody 1st with a clean sweep Sportsman 100 Heavy and 2nd in Sportsman 125 Light,
