AUDIO: Inside Motor Sport – Mawson wins U18 World Karting Championship

Australian Joseph Mawson (Hinchenbrook, NSW) won the final round of the CIK-FIA Under 18 World Karting Championship in Bahrain on Saturday night.

The win, ahead of Monaco driver Charles Leclerc and Brit Ben Barnicoat, is the first by an Australian in a World Championship event since 2010 V8 Supercar Champion James Courtney won his second World Karting Championship in 1997.

And Lee Hanatschek, Australian Karting Association, Media & Marketing Manager puts the win into perspective and talks about other Australian Karters who are currently overseas.
