2011 Pro Tour Ready to Roll

Go Kart Club of Victoria are gearing up for the first 2011 Pro Tour round on 28-30th January. Pro Tour registrations have now passed the 230 mark and entries to the first event have started rolling in.

The Supplementary Regulations for the race meeting have now been approved and can be found on the Rotax website along with the entry form.

IKD have announced that every driver will receive a Pro Tour 2011 tee shirt for free at round 1. This offer will be exclusive to Pro Tour 1 entrants. Tee shirts will also be available for purchase at the event and those who miss out at Pro Tour 1 will be able to purchase their shirt at other events.

Don’t forget to fill out your registration number on your entry form. Any entry that is received without a registration number will be sent back!

In other news….congratulations to James Macken who has just signed a sponsorship deal with Oakley. This is a big break for James and is the first time Oakley have supported a go karter. James joins their other sponsored motorsport teams such as V8 stars the Kelly Brothers & Fabian Coultard.

Good luck goes out to Jonathan Venter who has secured a Formula Ford drive for 2011. Jonathan has decided to give away karting for the time being and focus on the Formula Ford. After his successful trip to the Rotax World Finals, it’s great to see Jonathan making the transition and we wish him well.
